RUSSIA (Iszhevsk, St. Petersburg, Moscow)Rev. Ron Rude created an amazing Conference in June 1999 that changed all of our lives at depth! I definitely had a life-altering experience in Russia! He seemed to do it without having nervous breakdowns along the way. He is doing so much to empower people by teaching them our wonderful principles and how to take charge of their lives.I found after traveling briefly to St. Petersburg and to Moscow, that the Russians are actually hungering and thirsting after Science of Mind, liken they've been waiting for it for decades. And why? Because it has not only the spiritual aspect, but the philosophical and intellectual as well. It makes so much sense! What Rev. Ron Rude has done in Izhevsk is nothing short of miraculous! He has followed Spirit to the hilt! I will never, ever forget Ron and his interpreter, Lyena, coming on the train after a 20-hour train ride from Moscow, and calling "Rainbow and Kate! Rainbow and Kate!" I can never remember feeling so loved as I did at that moment. The feeling tone of the St. Petersburg Conference was -- if Ron's conference was 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit -- 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Of course, we warmed them up considerably. The setup was cold and prohibitive. They had a stage with about 50 feet between the stage and the audience. Bob and Barbara told us about this on the phone. So when we got there, I asked if we could do our workshops in the cafe downstairs in a circle format. That helped considerably! I met Angelina in Moscow and spoke to some of her people. She would like as many textbooks as Rev. Ron can spare! He has many Science of Mind textbooks translated into Russian. It's wonderful the way all the books he sent to St. Petersburg with Kate sold in about 30 seconds! The people are definitely starving for that information! Angelina said to me, "Raduga, will you please step into this room for a moment?" "Certainly," I answered, not knowing what was in store for me. I went into a room and there sat 45 people in a huge circle. Angelina proceeded to say, "Now, Rev. Rainbow Johnson will present a workshop for us!" Say what? After my workshop, they began making immediate plans for my return to Russia, even unto an airline ticket Shirley said she could get for me. They were already planning to rent me an apartment in Moscow! WOW! When Russians want something, they go for it big time! I'll never forget my pilgrimage to Russia as long as I live! |
