Nice was Nice

As luck, fame, and fortune would have it, a friend of mind lives in a luxury condominium above the Nice harbor, where Rainbow-Shalom and I got to see the traffic coming in and out of the port.  My friend was out of town on business during the time we were there!   We were essentially house-sitting her condo and having it all to ourselves.  Great view ... free rent ... does it get any better than this?

Proving that I Really Am a "Blowhard"!

While in France, I visited a glass-blowing factory.  Let me tell you, darlings, THE FACTORY, she was one HOT time!

Blowing down into glass-blowing tube I have played recorder for years, but never did I need as much air pressure as when blowing glass in Biot, France.  Like in music, you have to hold the note for the right amount of time at the right volume!  (This was actually more of a clarinet embouchure.)

Blowing out into glass-blowing tube This is my trumpet technique for blowing glass.  Performances scheduled soon for a city near you!
