The Awakening Tour, Sept. 7-17, 2001
Trip Report
On September 17, 2001, I returned from China on
the very first flight that was allowed to leave and
enter the U.S. after the September 11th tragedy. And I had that
Godly reservation for months! We had to be at the airport at 3:30 am.
It was filled to the gills with 400 passengers and was the smoothest
international flight I've ever experienced. And the U.S. flights took
off as scheduled with only 10 to 20 passengers each, but I got home without a
hitch. Thank You, God!
China was absolutely awesome! My vision was that
our journey was a spiritual emissary mission to spread and receive love
between the Chinese people and the American people (notwithstanding
politics). And that's exactly what happened! We were in Beijing
when "it" happened. We were immediately surrounded by folks
from all over the world (Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Sweden, France, Great
Britain, China) who expressed such compassionate loving condolences, my soul
was filled to overflowing. It was definitely a Divine Assignment,
because I got to receive those condolences in a person to person, heart to
heart exchange! I had a vision of "The Global Village" which
I know already exists in Spirit! What a blessing THAT was!
Wherever I went, including climbing the Great Wall,
dozens of Chinese would come up to me and ask to have their picture taken
with me! I was baffled by this, but loved it at the same time.
Every workshop or spiritual meeting or service I gave, (all occurred in
parks or sacred sites), Chinese people attended, even though they didn't
speak English. They were drawn magnetically by the loving energy we
were giving out. Whole families would join us, including
grandparents, parents, and children. When we sang songs, like,
"I Love Myself So Much," they would join in on the "so
much" part. They even would allow us to hug them (and believe
me, that's not part of the Chinese culture)!
Whenever huge busloads of folks would pass us and stare at us out of
curiosity, I would smile and wave, and they all (and I do mean all) would
smile and wave and even blow kisses. Imagine a city (Shanghai) with
18 million people (11 million of whom are on bicycles) all going about
their business harmoniously and smoothly, bicycling in and out of the 70
(count 'em) high rises! WOW! I'm so in love with the place,
I'm going back again next year (3rd time) and including Tibet!
Even though we prayed a lot, and sang "God Bless America" a lot,
I must admit, it's wonderful to be home!
God bless us every one, God bless America, and God bless the World!
