- A nice MIDI file of the Pachebel Canon plays on the entry page.
- I created a color icon of a house from some black&white clip
art. This icon represents the Home page at the top of most of the
pages on the Website.
- The Home page and Catalog page now have side navigation buttons;
formerly, they had only bottom navigation buttons. I noticed that
it was tedious to return to the home page and have to go to the bottom of
the page to navigate to other pages. I removed the usual top
navigation bars from both the Home and Catalog pages because of the special
graphics at the top of those pages. Now with side buttons, the
graphics display at the top without the distraction of page-top navigation
bars, but visitors have the same navigation options as if the usual page-top
navigation bars were present.
- The entry page retains its custom page background, but all of the other
pages now have a site-theme background. This is Raingel, the Rainbow
Angel mascot of Rainbow Ministries, faded out to a watermark
darkness.
- There is a new banner graphic to match the new page background. This
banner graphic consists of a stretched oval with pastel rainbow colors on a
white rectangle. Its colors are compatible with the faded Raingel
background.
- The default page layout has at its top a navigation bar, a
banner with the page title, and a second navigation bar under the
banner. The first navigation bar has a custom icon for the Home page
and buttons for the sibling pages to the current page. The second
navigation bar has an "UP" button to go to the parent page of the
current page, plus buttons for any child pages to the current page.
- The Calendar page has been moved under the Home page, instead of the
What's New page. This gives the Calendar much higher visibility
to visitors.
- I corrected several problems with the field validation rules in the
feedback form
2001, September. Added Trip Reports section, marquees in the
What's New page. Removed material on the Peru and China 2001 tours.
This site went online in January 2001 for a period of testing.
