Using Documents We EmailFrom time to time, people have had problems printing Microsoft Word documents that we sent as email attachments. If you know Microsoft Word from A to Z, you'll know how to edit and print our files and fix any problems which arise. Otherwise, here is some information which you may find useful in printing or editing Microsoft Word files which we send as email attachments, or in printing .PDF files which we send as email attachments.
Can You Open Word Files?Make sure that you can open Microsoft Word files. You can if you have Microsoft Word installed on your computer. We use the 2000 version of Word, Microsoft Word 2000. You might or might not have problems printing or editing our files with an older version of Microsoft Word. You can also open our Microsoft Word 2000 files with other programs which understand the Microsoft Word file format. In particular, recent versions of Corel WordPerfect can open Microsoft 2000 files. How to Open an Attached FileTo open a file which is attached to an email mail message from us, double-click on the icon for the attachment in your email program. If your computer recognizes the file type of the attachment (.DOC for Microsoft Word files), it will open the file using the installed program which supports the file type of the attachment. If your computer tells you that it does not recognize the file type, you cannot open and print our file until you install a program which supports the file type of the file we sent.
